Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel without an adverse effect on display performance of a display, and a manufacturing method of the same.SOLUTION: A touch panel 10 includes a front cover 12, a plurality of substrates 14, and electrodes 16x and 16y formed on each of the substrates 14. The substrates 14 have the same shape and have a detection area 18 at the same place thereon. The detection area 18 of each of the substrates 14 has an electrode area 20 having the electrodes 16x and 16y, and non-electrode areas 22 having no electrodes 16x and 16y. The electrode areas 20 having the first electrode 16x do not overlap with each other, and the electrode areas 20 having the second electrode 16y do not overlap with each other.
