Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general-purpose catalyst structure for exhaust gas treatment, which can be conveniently retrofitted in an existing exhaust gas line having no exhaust gas treatment device installed, and which can perform an exhaust gas treatment in a wide temperature range from a high temperature region exceeding 900°C where reaction efficiency is good to a low temperature region.SOLUTION: Provided is a general-purpose catalyst structure for exhaust gas treatment, which can be retrofitted in an existing exhaust gas line having no exhaust gas treatment device without changing the exhaust gas line and without any special device interposed. The general-purpose catalyst structure for exhaust gas treatment contains bag-shaped quartz glass cloth, and quartz glass wool and/or quartz glass web filled in the quartz glass-shaped bag, and has a catalyst for exhaust gas treatment supported on one or more member subjects selected from the group consisting of the quartz glass wool, the quartz glass web, and the bag-shaped quartz glass cloth.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】既存の排気ガス処理装置を設備していない排気ガスラインの中に後付けで簡便に設置でき、反応効率の良い900℃を超える高温領域から低温領域に到る広い温度範囲で排気ガス処理を行うことが出来る汎用型排ガス処理用触媒構造体を提供する。【解決手段】排気ガス処理装置を有さない既存の排気ガスラインに対して、前記排気ガスラインの変更や特別な装置を介することなく後付で設置することが可能な汎用型排気ガス処理用触媒構造体であって、前記汎用型排気ガス処理用触媒構造体が、袋状石英ガラスクロスと、前記袋状石英ガラスクロスに充填された石英ガラスウール及び/又は石英ガラスウエブと、を含み、前記石英ガラスウール、前記石英ガラスウエブ、及び前記袋状石英ガラスクロスからなる群から選択された一つ以上の部材に排気ガス処理用触媒が担持されてなるようにした。【選択図】図1
