Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of mounting a clip to an electrode laminate that can surely fix clips to predetermined positions of a positive electrode side connection portion and a negative electrode side connection portion by welding when the clips are kept under a predetermined securing state.SOLUTION: A clip mounting method comprises: a clip securing step in which clips 10, 11 for integrally bundling plural positive side connection portions 7 projecting from one end in a width direction of a separator 9 and plural negative electrode side connection portions 8 projecting from the other end in the width direction of the separator 9 are secured to the positive electrode side connection portions 7 and the negative electrode side connection portions 8, respectively; and a welding step of descending a horn 21 to the positive electrode side connection portions 7 and the negative electrode connection portions 8 mounted on an anvil 22 of an ultrasonic welding machine 20, and stopping a welding work when the horn 21 descends by the amount larger than a specified descending amount to be added the pre-stored total plate thickness of the clips 10, 11 or performing predetermined welding on the clips 10, 11 when it is detected that the horn 21 comes into contact with the clips 10, 11 within the specified descending amount. 【課題】クリップの所定通りの取付け状態が維持されている場合に溶接を行って確実にクリップを正極側接続部および負極側接続部の所定位置に固定し得る電極積層体に対するクリップの装着方法を提供する。【解決手段】セパレータ9の幅方向の一端から突出している複数の正極側接続部7と、セパレータ9の幅方向の他端から突出している複数の負極側接続部8とを一体的に纏めるクリップ10,11を、正極側接続部7と負極側接続部8にそれぞれ取付けるクリップ取付け工程と、超音波溶接機20のアンビル22上に載置された正極側接続部7および負極側接続部8に対してホーン21を下降させ、予め記憶させてあるクリップ10,11の板厚を加算した規定下降量を超えてホーン21が下降した場合には、溶接作業を中止する一方、規定下降量以内でクリップ10,11に対するホーン21の当接が検出された場合にクリップ10,11に対する所定の溶接を行う溶接工程とを行う。【選択図】 図3
