Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine which enables a protruding length of a connector part from a contour of a case to be reduced without shortening the connector part.SOLUTION: An ignition coil 1 for an internal combustion engine includes: a primary coil 21 and a secondary coil 22 which are magnetically coupled to each other; a core 3 which forms a magnetic path of magnetic flux generated by an electric current flowing through the primary coil 21; a case 4 which houses the primary coil 21, the secondary coil 22, and the core 3; and a connector part 11 for connecting an external connector. The connector part 11 protrudes from the case 4 and is formed so that the external connector is connected thereto so as to be covered by an outer periphery of the connector part 11. The case 4 includes a caved part 61, which is caved further than other portions, in a periphery of the connector part 11.
【課題】コネクタ部の長さを短くすることなく、ケースの外形からのコネクタ部の突出量を小さくすることができる内燃機関用の点火コイルを提供すること。【解決手段】内燃機関用の点火コイル1は、互いに磁気結合された1次コイル21及び2次コイル22と、1次コイル21への通電によって生じる磁束の磁路を構成するコア3と、1次コイル21と2次コイル22とコア3とを収容するケース4と、外部コネクタを接続するためのコネクタ部11とを有する。コネクタ部11は、ケース4から突出しており、かつ、外周から覆われるように外部コネクタが接続されるよう構成されている。ケース4は、コネクタ部11の周囲に、他の部分よりも陥没した陥没部61を有する。【選択図】図1 |
