Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to securely join a step electrolyte membrane electrode structure and a resin frame member with a simple step.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a fuel cell 10 includes steps of: individually producing a step MEA 12a and a resin frame member 24; molding an adhesive sheet 26 having a frame shape by following a shape of an adhesive joint portion between the step MEA 12a and the resin frame member 24; and bonding an inner periphery projection 24a of the resin frame member 24 and an outer peripheral edge of the step MEA 12a with the adhesive sheet 26. 【課題】簡単な工程で、段差電解質膜・電極構造体と樹脂枠部材とを確実に接合させることを可能にする。【解決手段】燃料電池10の製造方法は、段差MEA12a及び樹脂枠部材24を個別に作製する工程と、枠形状を有する接着シート26を、前記段差MEA12aと前記樹脂枠部材24との接着部位の形状に倣って成形する工程を有する。次いで、樹脂枠部材24の内周突部24aと段差MEA12aの外周縁部とを、接着シート26により接着する工程を有する。【選択図】図2
