Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device that can sufficiently prevent stray light while preventing deviation of an optical axis due to interference between a frame and a mirror and vignetting of reading light on a mirror reflection surface side.SOLUTION: In a reflection part that reflects reading light to a reading part, a first light shielding part (81a) is arranged, with a gap, opposite to an end face of a first reflection mirror (51) that reflects light from a document first. This configuration can suppress stray light from entering from the end face of the first reflection mirror (51). Provision of a second light shielding part (81b) between the gap and a second reflection mirror (52) can effectively prevent stray light entered from the gap. 【課題】フレームとミラーとの干渉による光軸ずれやミラー反射面側での読取光のケラレを防止しつつ、十分に迷光を防止することが可能な画像読取り装置及び画像形成装置を提供する。【解決手段】読取光を読取部に向けて反射する反射部のうち、原稿からの光を最初に反射する第1の反射ミラー(51)の端面に対して、間隙を設けながら第1の遮光部(81a)を対向させて配置する。これにより、第1反射ミラー(51)の端面から迷光が入り込むことを抑制できる。また、間隙と第2の反射ミラー(52)との間に第2の遮光部(81b)を設けることで、間隙から入り込んだ迷光を効果的に防止できる。【選択図】図7
