Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet head that has low-power consumption while securing sufficient discharge speed.SOLUTION: When an actuator is charged, the actuator is charged by being supplied with an intermediate voltage that is lower than a drive voltage to be a charging target, and then the actuator is charged by being supplied with the drive voltage. When the actuator discharges an electrical current, the actuator charged by being supplied with the drive voltage is discharged by being supplied with the intermediate voltage and discharges an electrical current by being supplied with zero voltage. Time T2a for supplying the intermediate voltage at a timing of discharging ink from a nozzle is shorter than each time T1a, T3a, T4a for supplying the intermediate voltage at other timings. 【課題】十分な吐出速度を確保しつつ消費電力の少ないインクジェットヘッドを提供する。【解決手段】アクチュエータを充電する際には、先ずアクチュエータに充電目標とする駆動電圧より低い中間電圧を与えて充電し、続いて駆動電圧を与えて充電する。アクチュエータから放電する際には、駆動電圧を与えて充電されたアクチュエータに中間電圧を与えて放電し、続いて電圧ゼロを与えて放電する。ノズルからインクを吐出するタイミングで中間電圧を与える時間T2aは、他のタイミングで中間電圧を与える時間T1a,T3a,T4aよりも短くする。【選択図】図10
