PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-wheel motor drive device which improves the durability of power cables to foreign objects such as pebbles or muddy water.SOLUTION: An in-wheel motor drive device 21 includes: a motor; a wheel hub (32) driven by the motor; a casing (22d) which stores the motor; a terminal box (61) which is provided at the casing and encloses a metal terminal of the motor; a lock part (66) which locks mid parts of power cables (62, 62b) extending from the terminal box to an exterior part of the casing; and a foreign object shield member (65) facing the casing. The foreign object shield member faces the power cables which are disposed between the foreign object shield member and the casing and exposed to an exterior part of the casing. 【課題】小石や泥水等の異物に対する電力ケーブルの耐久性を高めたインホイールモータ駆動装置を提供する。【解決手段】インホイールモータ駆動装置２１は、モータと、モータに駆動される車輪ハブ（３２）と、モータを収容するケーシング（２２ｄ）と、ケーシングに設けられてモータの金属端子を包囲する端子ボックス（６１）と、端子ボックスからケーシングの外部へ延びる電力ケーブル（６２，６２ｓ）を途中で係止する係止部（６６）と、ケーシングと向き合う異物遮蔽部材（６５）とを備える。かかる異物遮蔽部材は、該異物遮蔽部材とケーシングとの間に配置されて該ケーシングの外部に露出する電力ケーブルと互いに向き合っている。【選択図】図３
