PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin cosmetic which forms a uniform and flexible film of a lamellar α-gel structure on a skin surface when applying on a skin so that good moisture confining property, that is, high moisture retention property is obtained for the transpiration of the skin water content, and which is excellent in use feeling at the time of application, has glossy feeling without stickiness after the application, and is excellent in storage stability.SOLUTION: A skin cosmetic contains following components (A)-(F): (A) a higher alcohol; (B) a higher fatty acid; (C) a base; (D) (D1) a (alkyl-modified) carboxyvinyl polymer, and (D2) a polysaccharide; (E) an oil solution other than components (A) and (B); and (F) an aqueous solvent. The component (B) contains (B1) a fatty acid which is in a solid state at 25°C and (B2) a fatty acid which is in a liquid at 25°C, and a mass ratio (B1)/(B2) is 1-50. A total amount of components (A) and (B), (A)+(B), is 1-12 mass%, a mass ratio (B)/[(A)+(B)] of the component (B) to the total amount [(A)+(B)] of components (A) and (B) is 0.2-0.7. A molar ratio (C)/(B) of the component (C) to the component (B) is 10-120 mol%. 【課題】皮膚に塗布した際、皮膚表面に均一で柔軟なラメラ状のα−ゲル構造の皮膜を形成し、皮膚の水分蒸散に対して高い水分閉塞性、すなわち高い保湿性が得られ、塗布時の使用感が良好で、塗布後には、べたつきがなく、つや感が得られ、さらに、保存安定性に優れる皮膚化粧料を提供する。【解決手段】（Ａ）高級アルコール、（Ｂ）高級脂肪酸、（Ｃ）塩基、（Ｄ）（Ｄ１）（アルキル変性）カルボキシビニルポリマー、及び（Ｄ２）多糖類、（Ｅ）成分（Ａ）及び（Ｂ）以外の油剤、（Ｆ）水性溶剤を含有し、成分（Ｂ）が、（Ｂ１）２５℃で固体状の脂肪酸と（Ｂ２）２５℃で液体状の脂肪酸を含み、その質量比（Ｂ１）／（Ｂ２）が、１〜５０であり、成分（Ａ）及び（Ｂ）の合計含有量（Ａ）＋（Ｂ）が、１〜１２質量％であり、成分（Ａ）及び（Ｂ）の合計量［（Ａ）＋（Ｂ）］に対する成分（Ｂ）の質量比（Ｂ）／［（Ａ）＋（Ｂ）］が、０．２〜０．７であり、成分（Ｂ）に対する成分（Ｃ）のモル比（Ｃ）／（Ｂ）が、１０〜１２０モル％である、皮膚化粧料。【選択図】なし
