PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator which properly determines whether or not a user is a handicapped person and which can be easily used.SOLUTION: An elevator system comprises: at least one elevator machine; a landing destination floor registration device 2 having a handicapped person notification button 8; an image acquisition part; and a door opening and closing time adjustment part 17. The elevator system further comprises: a handicapped person operation determination part 12 for detecting a notification signal following to operation of the handicapped person notification button 8; and an operation error determination part 13 for comparing image data of a user imaged by the image acquisition part and registration data when the handicapped person operation determination part 12 detects the notification signal, and when the image data and registration data do not match, determines that a user is a health person, and when the image data and registration data match, determines that the user is a handicapped person and outputs a continuous signal corresponding to a handicapped person. The door opening and closing time adjustment part 17 makes door opening extension time invalid, when receiving a release signal. 【課題】身障者か否かを的確に判別し、使い勝手がよいエレベータシステムを提供する。【解決手段】少なくとも１基のエレベータ号機と、身障者通知ボタン８を有する乗り場行き先階登録装置２と、画像取得部と、ドア開閉時間調整部１７と、を備えたエレベータシステムにおいて、身障者通知ボタン８の操作に伴う通知信号を検出する身障者操作判定部１２と、身障者操作判定部１２が通知信号を検出したときは、画像取得部により撮影した利用者の画像データと登録データとを比較し、画像データと登録データとが合致しないときは当該利用者が健常者であると判定し身障者対応を解除する解除信号を出力し、かつ、画像データと登録データとが合致したときは当該利用者が身障者であると判定し身障者対応の継続信号を出力する誤操作判定部１３と、を有し、ドア開閉時間調整部１７は、解除信号を受信したときは、エレベータ号機のドア開延長時間を無効にする。【選択図】図３
