Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tip adjustment mechanism which can realize space saving in an adjustment direction of a position of a cutting edge.SOLUTION: A tip adjustment mechanism 1 can adjust a position of a cutting edge of a cutting insert 3 by moving the cutting insert 3 which is detachably attached to a tool body 2 of a cutting tool. The tip adjustment mechanism 1 has an adjustment member 4 which contacts the cutting insert 3, and an adjustment screw 6 which is screwed into the adjustment member 4. The adjustment member 4 is provided with a screw hole 20 which extends in a direction including a component of a direction in which the cutting insert 3 is moved, and into which the adjustment screw 6 is screwed. The adjustment screw 6, which is screwed in to the screw hole 20, abuts against the tool body 2, whereby the adjustment member 4 is moved. 【課題】切れ刃の位置の調整方向において省スペース化を実現する刃先調整機構を提供する。【解決手段】切削工具の工具ボデー2に着脱自在に取り付けられる切削インサート3を動かすことによって、その切れ刃の位置を調整することが可能な刃先調整機構1である。刃先調整機構1は、切削インサート3と当接する調整部材4と、調整部材4に螺入される調整ねじ6と、を有する。調整部材4には、切削インサート3を動かす方向の成分を含む方向に伸長している、調整ねじ6を螺入することが可能なねじ穴20が形成されている。ねじ穴20に螺入された調整ねじ6が工具ボデー2に突き当たることによって、調整部材4は動かされる。【選択図】図1
