Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that allows a user to check the state of progress of input of image data even when document reading processing has been interrupted, and eliminating unnecessary time and effort for the user to improve convenience in resuming input processing of image data from the point of interruption of the reading processing after the stopped state is cleared.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 includes: a document reading part 102; accumulation means 105 for accumulating image data; and an operation unit 120 that includes display image creation means 137, a display panel, and an operation unit-side control part 131 that guides the input state of image data from the document reading part 102 by performing preview display of a display image based on the image data on the display panel 132. 【課題】原稿の読取り処理が途中で中断した場合でも、入力の進捗状態を確認することができ、停止状態の解除後に停止以降分から入力処理を再開する際に、ユーザに対して無駄な手間を与えず、利便性の向上を図る画像形成装置を提供する。【解決手段】画像形成装置１００は、原稿読取部１０２と、画像データを蓄積する蓄積手段１０５と、表示画像生成手段１３７と、表示パネル１３２と、原稿読取部１０２からの画像データの入力状況を、画像データに基づく表示画像を表示パネル１３２上でプレビュー表示案内する操作ユニット側制御部１３１とを具備する操作ユニット１２０を備える。【選択図】図８
