Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode for a lithium battery, capable of improving life characteristics of a lithium battery.SOLUTION: There is provided a negative electrode for a lithium battery including a current collector and a negative electrode active material layer disposed on at least one surface of the current collector. The negative electrode active material layer includes: a porous matrix including lithium titanate particles; and metal nanoparticles that form an alloy with lithium. An average particle diameter of the lithium titanate particles is at least two times greater than an average particle diameter of the metal nanoparticles. 【課題】リチウム電池の寿命特性が向上することが可能な、リチウム電池用負極を提供する。【解決手段】集電体と、前記集電体の少なくとも一面に配置された負極活物質層と、を含み、前記負極活物質層は、チタン酸リチウム粒子を含む多孔性マトリックスと、リチウムと合金を形成する金属ナノ粒子と、を含み、前記チタン酸リチウム粒子の平均粒径が、前記金属ナノ粒子の平均粒径の少なくとも2倍以上であるリチウム電池用負極が提供される。【選択図】図1
