Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a start method of a fuel cell system which raises the temperature along a cathode passage as equally as possible.SOLUTION: Start method of a fuel cell system includes a warming necessity determination step for determining the necessity of warming of a stack, a normal power generation step for supplying refrigerant at a predetermined normal power generation refrigerant flow rate to the stack and supplying air at a predetermined normal power generation air flow rate when a determination is made that warming is unnecessary, and reaction gas reduction step (time t0-t1) for supplying refrigerant at a reduction time refrigerant flow rate lower than the normal power generation refrigerant flow rate to the stack when warming is necessary and a determination is made that a request power generation current value for the fuel cell is equal to or lower than a predetermined threshold, and supplying air at a reduction time air flow rate lower than the normal power generation air flow rate to the stack. 【課題】カソード流路に沿ってできるだけ等しく温度を上昇させる燃料電池システムの起動方法を提供すること。【解決手段】燃料電池システムの起動方法は、スタックの暖機の要否を判定する暖機要否判定工程と、暖機が不要であると判定された場合には、冷媒を所定の通常発電冷媒流量でスタックに供給しかつエアを所定の通常発電エア流量で供給する通常発電工程と、暖機が必要でありかつ燃料電池に対する要求発電電流値が所定の閾値以下であると判定された場合には、冷媒を通常発電冷媒流量よりも少ない低減時冷媒流量でスタックに供給し、かつエアを通常発電エア流量よりも少ない低減時エア流量でスタックに供給する反応ガス低減工程(時刻t0〜t1)と、を備える。【選択図】図6
