PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve size reduction.SOLUTION: A lighting unit comprises a housing 2 which is detachable with respect to a prescribed member constituting a vehicle lighting appliance, and a lighting body 3 which has a base board 6, a first light emitting element 7 and a second light emitting element 8 which are mounted to the base board, and is held at the housing. On the base board, there are arranged a first mounting face part 14 mounted with the first light emitting element, and a second mounting face part 22 mounted with the second light emitting element, the first mounting face part and the second mounting face part are located in a state that they are overlapped on each other at least partially while separating from each other in an optical axial direction of the light emitting element, and the first light emitting element and the second light emitting element are located while being displaced from each other in a direction orthogonal to the optical axial direction. 【課題】 小型化を図る。【解決手段】 車輌用灯具を構成する所定の部材に対して着脱可能とされたハウジング２と、基板６と基板に搭載された第１の発光素子７と基板に搭載された第２の発光素子８とを有しハウジングに保持される照明体３とを備え、基板には第１の発光素子が搭載された第１の搭載面部１４と第２の発光素子が搭載された第２の搭載面部２２とが設けられ、第１の搭載面部と第２の搭載面部は少なくとも一部が発光素子の光軸方向において離隔して重なる状態で位置され、第１の発光素子と第２の発光素子が光軸方向に直交する方向においてずれて位置された。【選択図】図２
