PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label spreading mechanism capable of coping with plural stretch labels which have different size (diameter) respectively.SOLUTION: A label spreading mechanism comprises: a spreading claw 22 for spreading a stretch label and capable of being opened and closed freely; and opening/closing means for opening and closing the spreading claw 22. The opening/closing means comprises: a rotor 26 having cam grooves 26a reaching a concentric circle having large diameter on an open position side, from a concentric circle having small diameter on a closed position side, with a rotation shaft serving as a center; cam followers 25 attached to the spreading claw 22 and fitted to the cam grooves 26a; an operation member 28 having an operation part 28a attached to the rotor 26; a prime movement shaft 29 supported rotatably; a cam mechanism 30 for rotating the prime movement shaft 29; and an operation arm 33 fixed to the prime movement shaft 29 and having a roller 33a to be engaged with the operation part 28a on a tip end. The operation arm 33 rotates the rotor 26 for opening and closing the spreading claw 22, and the operation member 28 is attached so that a position of the operation part 28a to the rotor 26 can be changed. 【課題】サイズ（径）の異なる複数のストレッチラベルに対応することのできるラベル拡開機構を提供する。【解決手段】ストレッチラベルを拡開する開閉可能な拡開爪２２と、拡開爪２２を開閉させる開閉手段とを備え、開閉手段は、回転軸を中心とした、閉位置側の小径の同心円上から開位置側の大径の同心円上にまで至るカム溝２６ａを有する回転体２６と、拡開爪２２に取り付けられた、カム溝２６ａに嵌り込むカムフォロア２５と、回転体２６に取り付けられた、操作部２８ａを有する操作部材２８と、回転可能に支持された原動軸２９と、原動軸２９を回転させるカム機構３０と、原動軸２９に固定された、先端に操作部２８ａに係合するローラ３３ａを有する操作アーム３３とを有し、操作アーム３３が回転体２６を回転させることで、拡開爪２２を開閉させるようになっており、操作部材２８は回転体２６に対する操作部２８ａの位置を変更可能に取り付けられている。【選択図】 図５
