Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photovoltaic power generation device capable of increasing a power generation amount by protruding it toward a lateral direction from on the roof of a building with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: Expandable/contractable photovoltaic power generation devices 20A, 20B are installed on roofs (11, 12) of a residence 1 in which a plurality of solar cell modules 2,... are incorporated. Then, the plurality of solar cell modules are mounted on a support structure body 3 which is expandable/contractable in a direction substantially parallel with a roof surface of the residence. Furthermore, the support structure is manufactured so that it can protrude toward a lateral side from the roof only in the case where a wind load is equal to or less than a predetermined value, and also, it is configured so as to contract by an operation of an electric screw jack 33. 【課題】簡単な構造で建物の屋根の上から側方に向けて張り出させることによって発電量を増加させることが可能な太陽光発電装置を提供する。【解決手段】複数の太陽電池モジュール２，・・・が組み込まれた住宅１の屋根（１１，１２）に設置される伸縮可能な太陽光発電装置２０Ａ，２０Ｂである。そして、複数の太陽電池モジュールは住宅の屋根面と略平行する方向に伸縮可能な支持構造体３に取り付けられる。さらに、支持構造体は、風荷重が所定値以下の場合にのみ屋根から側方に向けて張り出させることが可能となるように製作され、かつ電動スクリュージャッキ３３の作動によって収縮可能に構成されている。【選択図】図１
