PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet head piezo elements of which is prevented from cracking.SOLUTION: An ink jet head includes: a base substrate 13 having a substrate surface 22; piezo elements 55 having a bottom surface 23 and a top surface 24 with respect to the substrate surface 22, a pair of rising surfaces 25, 26 which are formed by grinding to the depth not reaching to the bottom surface 23 resulted from movement of a grinding stone on the substrate surface 22 and rising from long side pairs of the bottom surface 23, and a plurality of gradient edge surfaces 27, 28 which intersect with each of the rising surfaces 25, 26 with an acute angle, and are continued to the rising surfaces 25, 26 and the top surface 24; and a plurality of inner walls functioning as walls of a pressure chamber. 【課題】圧電素子の欠けを防止したインクジェットヘッドを提供する。【解決手段】基板面２２を有するベース基板１３と、基板面２２に対する底面２３、上面２４、研削砥石の基板面２２上の移動による底面２３まで達しない深さまでの研削によって形成され底面２３の長辺対から立上がる一対の起立面２５，２６、およびそれぞれ起立面２５，２６に鈍角をもって交差し起立面２５，２６及び上面２４に連続する複数の傾斜端面２７，２８を有する圧電素子５５と、圧力室の壁となる複数の内壁と、を備える。【選択図】図３
