Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode pad being safe for mitigating boring pain in not only a single administration but also repeated administration by verifying a method for mitigating cutaneous irritation (especially, cumulative cutaneous irritation) when percutaneously administering a local anesthetic via iontophoresis.SOLUTION: The electrode pad for iontophoresis includes: a sheet base material 1; an electrode 3 to be disposed on the sheet base material; a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet including an opening and disposed on the sheet base material, with the electrode exposed to the inside of the opening; and a drug reservoir 4 containing a local anesthetic and disposed inside the opening of the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet, with it brought into contact with the electrode. This configuration avoids contact with the skin, with the inner peripheral surface of the opening of the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet 2 brought into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the drub reservoir 4, thereby mitigating the cutaneous irritation. 【課題】局所麻酔薬をイオントフォレシス経皮投与した時の皮膚刺激性(特に、累積皮膚刺激性)を軽減させる方法を検証し、穿刺時痛の疼痛緩和に対して、単回投与時のみならず、反復投与時においても、より安全な電極パッドを提供する。【解決手段】シート基材1と、シート基材上に配置される電極3と、開口を備え当該開口内に電極を露出させた状態でシート基材上に配置される粘着シート2と、局所麻酔剤を含有し、粘着シートの開口内で電極に接触した状態で配置される薬剤リザーバ4と、を備えたイオントフォレシス電極パッド。粘着シート2の開口の内周面と薬剤リザーバ4の外周面とが当接した状態で皮膚に接触することを避け、これにより、皮膚刺激を緩和する。【選択図】図2
