Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress image defects caused by a guide roller.SOLUTION: A fixing device 500 includes: a fixing part 10 that has a fixing belt 11 and a pressure roller 16; a conveyance roller pair 50 that is arranged on the downstream side of the fixing part 10 in the sheet conveyance direction and conveys sheets ejected from the fixing part 10; and a guide roller 37 that is arranged between the fixing part 10 and conveyance roller pair 50 in the sheet conveyance direction and rotates along the sheet conveyance direction to guide the sheets ejected from the fixing part 10. The guide roller 37 extends in the width direction of the fixing belt 11 over an area where sheets having the maximum width conveyable in the fixing device 500 are conveyed. 【課題】ガイドローラによる画像欠陥を抑制する。【解決手段】定着装置５００は、定着ベルト１１と加圧ローラ１６とを有する定着部１０と、用紙搬送方向における定着部１０の下流側に配置され、定着部１０から排出された用紙を搬送する搬送ローラ対５０と、用紙搬送方向において定着部１０と搬送ローラ対５０との間に配置され、用紙搬送方向に沿って回転しながら、定着部１０から排出された用紙を案内するガイドローラ３７とを備える。ガイドローラ３７は、定着ベルト１１の幅方向において、定着装置５００で搬送可能な最大幅の用紙が搬送される領域に渡って延在する。【選択図】図３
