PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal rotary hook for a sewing machine which has a configuration for fixing, on the bottom part of an outer hook, a permanent magnet for fitting an inner hook having a metallic plate on the bottom part thereof into the outer hook, and which can be made to have a very simple configuration.SOLUTION: A horizontal rotary hook for a sewing machine includes: an inner hook B including a metallic attraction member 7 on the outside undersurface part thereof; a permanent magnet 5 for attracting the inner hook B; a magnet base plate 2 provided with a hole 23 for fitting thereof at the center position of a diameter for accommodating the permanent magnet 5; a nonmetallic outer hook A having a shaft hole 12 at the center position of the diameter of an inside bottom part for accommodating the magnet base plate 2; and a hook support shaft 3 having a flange part 32 at the upper end part thereof which is inserted into the hole 23 of the magnet base plate 2 and is inserted into the shaft hole 12 of the outer hook A so as to rotatably axially support the outer hook A and the magnet base plate 2. The friction coefficient of the contact surface of the magnet base plate 2 in contact with the outer hook A is made larger than the friction coefficient of the flange part 32 of the hook support shaft 3. 【目的】底部に金属板を有する内釜を、外釜に内装させるための永久磁石を外釜底部に固定するための構成を備えると共に極めて簡単な構成にできるミシンの水平回転釜を提供すること。【構成】金属製の吸着部材７を外側下面部に備えた内釜Ｂと、該内釜Ｂを吸引する永久磁石５と、該永久磁石５を収納する径の中心位置に装着のための孔２３を設けたマグネット台板２と、該マグネット台板２を収納する内側底部の径の中心位置に軸孔１２を有する非金属性の外釜Ａと、マグネット台板２の孔２３に挿入すると共に外釜Ａの軸孔１２に挿入して外釜Ａとマグネット台板２を回転自在に軸支するため上端部にフランジ部３２を有した釜支持軸３とを具備し、マグネット台板２の外釜Ａとの当接面の摩擦係数を、釜支持軸３のフランジ部３２の摩擦係数より大きくしたこと。【選択図】 図１
