Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporative concentration device and an evaporative concentration method where not only a low-boiling point component but also a high-boiling point component can be substantially removed in condensed water generated at the concentrating treatment of a waste liquid.SOLUTION: An evaporative concentration device 1 includes: an evaporator 2 evaporating a supplied stock solution; a compressor 3 adiabatically compressing generated steam; and a vacuum source 30 maintaining the inside of the evaporator 2 in a vacuum state. Heated steam whose temperature and pressure are raised by the compressor 3 is returned to the evaporator 2 and becomes a heat source for heating the stock solution. Condensed water is generated by cooling the heated steam. A partial condenser 4 is disposed between the evaporator 2 and the compressor 3 and a condensed liquid in the condenser 4 is returned to the evaporator 2. A waste liquid being treated by concentrating treatment in the evaporative concentration device 1 is a solution containing high-boiling point organic matter having a boiling point of 150-200°C. 【課題】廃液を濃縮処理する際に、生成される凝縮水中に低沸点成分のみならず、高沸点成分についてもほとんど除去し得る濃縮装置及び濃縮方法を提供する。【手段】蒸発濃縮装置1は、供給された原液を蒸発させる蒸発器2と、発生蒸気を断熱圧縮する圧縮機3と、蒸発器2内部を真空に保持する真空源30とを備え、圧縮機3により温度と圧力が上昇した加熱蒸気を蒸発器2に戻して原液を加熱するための熱源とすると共に、当該加熱蒸気の冷却により凝縮水が生成されるように構成されている。そして、蒸発器2と圧縮機3との間に分縮器4が設けられ、分縮器4で凝縮した液は蒸発器2へ戻す。蒸発濃縮装置1で濃縮処理される廃液は、沸点が150℃〜200℃の高沸点有機物を含有する溶液である。【選択図】図1
