PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulky type rice transplanter reducing a state in which a leg, etc. of an operator contacts a manipulator at a fixing position in a case where the sulky type rice transplanter includes: a preliminary seedling placing base which is movable in a front/rear direction; and a manipulator which is capable of fixing the preliminary seedling placing base in a desired position.SOLUTION: The sulky type rice transplanter includes: a support frame 26 arranged in right/left lateral side part of a machine body and supporting a preliminary seedling placing base 31 so as to move along a front/rear direction; and a manipulator 47 capable of fixing the preliminary seedling placing base 31 at a desired position and arranged in a machine body right/left center side of the preliminary seedling placing base 31. The manipulator 47 is operable at a fixing position A1 fixing the preliminary seedling placing base 31 at the desired position and a releasing position A2. The fixing position A1 is located in a machine body lateral outer side than the release position A2. 【課題】乗用型田植機において、予備苗のせ台を前後方向に移動自在に構成し、予備苗のせ台を所望の位置で固定可能な人為操作具を備えた場合、運転者の脚等が固定位置の人為操作具に当たるような状態を少なくする。【解決手段】機体の右及び左の横側部に支持フレーム２６を備えて、予備苗のせ台３１を支持フレーム２６に前後方向に沿って移動自在に支持する。予備苗のせ台３１を所望の位置で固定可能な人為操作具４７を予備苗のせ台３１における機体左右中央側に備える。予備苗のせ台３１を所望の位置で固定する固定位置Ａ１及び解除位置Ａ２に、人為操作具４７を操作自在に構成し、解除位置Ａ２に対して固定位置Ａ１を機体横外側に位置させる。【選択図】図８
