Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an energy conservation effect by suppressing a useless operation of a compressor when a product gas usage decreases in a gas separator.SOLUTION: The gas separator comprises a compressor that compresses air, an air tank that reserves compressed air produced by the compressor, an adsorption tank that adsorbs a part of air out of the compressed air reserved in the air tank, a product gas reservation tank that reserves the product gas not adsorbed by the adsorption tank, and a control part that controls the operation of the compressor and that of the adsorption tank. The control part is so configured as to make the pressure of the air tank at which the compressor starts decelerating operation and the pressure of the air tank at which the compressor stops lower than before the usage decreases. 【課題】気体分離装置において、製品ガスの使用量が減少した場合、圧縮機の無駄な運転を抑え、省エネ効果を得ることを目的とする。【解決手段】気体分離装置であって、空気を圧縮する圧縮機と、圧縮機で圧縮された圧縮空気を貯留する空気槽と、空気槽に貯留された圧縮空気のうち一部の気体を吸着する吸着槽と、吸着槽で吸着されなかった製品ガスを貯留する製品ガス貯留タンクと、圧縮機と吸着槽の動作を制御する制御部とを備え、制御部は、製品ガスの使用量が減少した場合、圧縮機が減速運転を開始する空気槽の圧力と圧縮機が停止する空気槽の圧力を使用量が減少する前よりも低くするように構成する。【選択図】図2
