Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an out-tank separation type methane fermentation system which takes out a flow carrier together with a solid component and residual after fermentation from a methane fermentation tank of a flow carrier use type, recovers only the flow carrier and returns the flow carrier to the methane fermentation tank.SOLUTION: An out-tank separation type methane fermentation system includes: a methane fermentation tank 6 which incorporates a flow carrier; a first separation mechanism 10A for post treatment which separates a mixture including a solid component taken out from the methane fermentation tank, the flow carrier and residue after fermentation into a solid component and a mixture of the flow carrier and the residue after fermentation and discharges the mixtures respectively; a second separation mechanism 10B for post treatment which separates a mixture of the flow carrier discharged from the first separation mechanism for post treatment and the residue after fermentation into the flow carrier and the residue after fermentation and discharges them respectively; and a circulation path Pwhich returns the flow carrier discharged from a second separation mechanism for post treatment to the methane fermentation tank. 【課題】流動担体利用型のメタン発酵槽から固形成分や発酵後残滓とともに流動担体を取り出し、流動担体のみを回収してメタン発酵槽へ戻す槽外分離型メタン発酵システムを提供する。【解決手段】流動担体を内蔵するメタン発酵槽6と、メタン発酵槽から取り出した固形成分と流動担体と発酵後残渣とを含む混合物を、固形成分と、流動担体及び発酵後残渣の混合物とに分離してそれぞれ排出する後処理用第1分離機構10Aと、後処理用第1分離機構から排出された流動担体及び発酵後残渣の混合物を、流動担体と発酵後残渣とに分離してそれぞれ排出する後処理用第2分離機構10Bと、後処理用第2分離機構から排出された流動担体をメタン発酵槽に戻す還流路P2とを具備する。【選択図】図1
