Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for preventing contamination of a transportation roller.SOLUTION: A transportation roller includes: a medium conveyance path 5 that conveys a medium 100; feed rollers 311, 321, 331, 341 that are in contact with the medium 100 and convey the medium; and a readout sensor 9 that reads a page mark 101 of the medium 100 conveyed by the feed rollers. The feed rollers have non-contact portions that do not contact with the medium, and the non-contact portions are formed at a width wider than a width of identification information in a direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the medium. 【課題】搬送ローラの汚れを抑制する手段を提供する。【解決手段】媒体１００を搬送する媒体搬送路５と、媒体搬送路５に設けられ、媒体１００と接触して媒体を搬送するフィードローラ３１１、３２１、３３１、３４１と、そのフィードローラで搬送される媒体１００の頁マーク１０１を読み取る読取センサ９とを備え、フィードローラは、媒体と接触しない非接触部を有し、その非接触部は、媒体の搬送方向と直交する方向における識別情報の幅より広い幅で形成されている。【選択図】 図３
