Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquisition device, and an information acquisition method in which product registration of an object apparatus can be efficiently done by omitting input operations of a user and decreasing communication frequency.SOLUTION: An information acquisition device 200 comprises: acquisition means 201 which acquires device information 11 via an in-building network from an electrical device 100; storage means 204 which stores personal information 12 of an owner of the electrical device 100, a registration condition 13 and registration destination information 14 of the electrical device 100; and determination means 202 which determines whether the electrical device 100 can be registered or not comparing the device information 11 with the registration condition 13. The information acquisition device 200 includes transmission means 203 which can transmit, when determining the electrical device 100 to be capable of being registered, the device information 11 and the personal information 12 based on the registration destination information 14 via an external network to a registration destination server 300. 【課題】対象機器の製品登録において、ユーザーの入力操作を省略することができるとともに、通信回数を少なくすることで効率良く製品登録を行うことができる情報取得装置、情報取得方法を提供する。【解決手段】情報取得装置２００は、建物内ネットワークを介して電気機器１００から機器情報１１を取得する取得手段２０１と、電気機器１００の所有者の個人情報１２、電気機器１００の登録条件１３及び登録先情報１４を保有する記憶手段２０４と、機器情報１１を登録条件１３に照らして電気機器１００が登録可能か否かを判断する判断手段２０２と、を備える。また、情報取得装置２００は、電気機器１００が登録可能と判断した場合、登録先情報１４に基づいて機器情報１１と個人情報１２とを外部ネットワークを介して登録先のサーバー３００へ送信する送信手段２０３も備える。【選択図】図１
