Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a location detection device that can attain both of enlargement of a treatable dynamic range of luminance and suppression of a time required for a location detection.SOLUTION: A location detection device comprises: imaging means that photographs an environment of a vehicle surrounding; parallax image acquisition means that acquires a parallax image on the basis of a photographing image photographed by the imaging means; synthesis means that synthesizes location information based on a plurality of parallax images to generate synthetic location information; and risk information acquisition means that acquires a collision risk of the vehicle with respect to surrounding objects. The synthesis means is configured to synthesize location information based on a plurality of parallax images acquired from a plurality of photographing images photographed with a mutually different exposure pattern, and, when the collision risk (for example, an own vehicle speed) acquired by the risk information acquisition means is higher, the synthesis means is configured to generate synthetic location information from the smaller number of parallax images than a case where the collision risk is low.
