Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve fuel consumption, drivability, shifting performance, and durability of engagement elements in a vehicle loading a multistage transmission.SOLUTION: An automatic transmission 20 includes a single pinion-type first planetary gear 21, a single pinion-type second planetary gear 22, a single pinion-type third planetary gear 23, a single pinion-type fourth planetary gear 24, clutches C1-C4, and brakes B1, B2, and the first to tenth forward gear stages and a reverse gear stage are formed by engaging three of the clutches C1-C4 and the brakes B1, B2, and releasing the remaining three of them. 【課題】多段変速機が搭載される車両の燃費、ドライバビリティ、変速性能および係合要素の耐久性をより向上させる。【解決手段】自動変速機20は、シングルピニオン式の第1遊星歯車21と、シングルピニオン式の第2遊星歯車22と、シングルピニオン式の第3遊星歯車23と、シングルピニオン式の第4遊星歯車24と、クラッチC1〜C4と、ブレーキB1およびB2とを含み、クラッチC1〜C4、ブレーキB1およびB2のうち、何れか3つを係合させると共に残余の3つを解放させることにより前進第1速段から前進第10速段および後進段を形成する。【選択図】図1
