Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixation device capable of reducing a first print time from a heating standby while preventing abnormal increase in a temperature in the periphery of a heat source with a downsized structure being a subject.SOLUTION: A fixation device includes a heat source 23 configured to heat a rotatable endless fixing member 21 at a location other than a nip part N and a reflection member 26 configured to reflect heat radiated onto the rear surface of the heat source 23 toward the fixing member 21. The reflection member 26 is fixed and supported onto a support member 25 and includes an insulation section 26a configured to cover the area of a recording medium that can be fed except a center along a width direction to shield radiation of heat from the heat source to the fixing member. 【課題】小型化を実現した構成を対象として、熱源周辺での異常昇温を防止しながら加熱待機時からのファーストプリントタイムの短縮が可能となる定着装置を提供する。【解決手段】回転可能な無端状の定着部材21をニップ部N以外の箇所で加熱する加熱源23と、加熱源23の裏面に照射される熱を定着部材21に向け反射させる反射部材26とを備え、反射部材26は、支持部材25に固定支持され、通紙可能な記録媒体の幅方向に沿った中央を除く範囲を覆って前記加熱源から前記定着部材に向けた熱の照射を遮る遮蔽部26aを備えている。【選択図】図5
