PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for appropriately selecting a paper ejection destination intended by a user in accordance with setting of a paper ejection function and ejection destination priorities.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus sets priorities indicating which one of a plurality of ejection destinations is to be preferentially used, and sets an automatic setting flag indicating whether to automatically set the paper ejection function. When a document is detected and the automatic setting flag indicates that automatic setting is to be executed, a first paper ejection function is set among the paper ejection functions. If the first paper ejection function is set when executing image formation for each of a plurality of ejection destinations, the ejection destination is selected while making the setting of the paper ejection function more preferential than the priorities. If the first paper ejection function is not set as the paper ejection function, the ejection destination is selected while making the priorities more preferential than the setting of the paper ejection function. 【課題】排紙機能の設定と排紙先優先順位とに従って、ユーザの意図する用紙の排紙先を好適に選択する仕組みを提供する。【解決手段】画像形成装置は、複数の排紙先のうち、何れの排紙先を優先して使用するかを示す優先順位を設定し、排紙機能を自動設定するか否かを示す自動設定フラグを設定し、原稿が検知され、かつ、自動設定フラグが自動設定を行うことを示す場合に、排紙機能のうち第１排紙機能を設定し、複数の排紙先ごとに、画像形成を実行する際に、第１排紙機能が設定されていれば排紙機能の設定を優先順位よりも優先して前記排紙先を選択し、排紙機能として第１排紙機能が設定されていなければ優先順位を排紙機能の設定よりも優先して排紙先を選択する。【選択図】 図１３
