Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultra-compact projector.SOLUTION: An optical engine 100 usable in a projector comprises: a housing; first, second and third laser diodes 101 to 103 that are juxtaposed directing a direction of an inside of the housing in one side and emit three-color laser light; a prism mirror 104 that causes a two-laser light from the first and second laser diodes 101 and 102 to be respectively reflected one time and to be further reflected with the two-laser light aligned with an optical axis of the third laser diode 103; an inclination mirror 106 that reflects a laser flux incident from the prism mirror 104 toward a bottom surface of the housing; a bottom surface mirror 107 that is provided in the bottom surface of the housing for reflecting reflection light from the inclination mirror 106 upwardly; and a drive mirror 109 that reflects the reflection light from the bottom surface mirror 107 as changing an angle in a perpendicular direction and horizontal direction. 【課題】超小型のプロジェクタを提供する。【解決手段】プロジェクタに利用できる光学エンジン100であって、筐体と、筐体の一辺において、前記筐体の内部方向に向けて並べて配置され、3色のレーザ光を発射する第1、第2および第3レーザダイオード101〜103と、第1および第2レーザダイオード101、102からの2つのレーザ光を、それぞれ1度反射させ、前記第3レーザダイオード103の光軸に合わせてさらに反射させるプリズムミラー104と、プリズムミラー104から入射したレーザ光束を、前記筐体の底面に向けて反射する傾斜ミラー106と、傾斜ミラー106からの反射光を上方に反射するため、前記筐体の底面に設けられた底面ミラー107と、底面ミラー107からの反射光を、垂直方向および水平方向に角度を変えつつ反射する駆動ミラー109と、を備えた。【選択図】図1A
