Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to determine appropriate placement of transmitters and receivers in response to a current situation within practical calculation time.SOLUTION: A transmitter/receiver placement determination apparatus for determining the placement of a plurality of transmitters and a plurality of receives by detecting the transmitters and the receivers so as to ensure a coverage factor equal to or higher than a coverage factor using the transmitters and the receivers in a search region in an underwater object search support system searching an underwater object, comprises a placement calculation unit measuring an actual environment measurement value necessary for detection determination, calculating coverage in light of reverberation caused by the placement on the basis of the measured actual environment measurement value, and determining the placement of the transmitters and the receivers using an optimization method, and the placement calculation unit determines the placement of the transmitters and the receivers so as to minimize a value of a cost function including a cost of each transmitter, the number of the transmitters, a cost of each receiver, and the number of the receivers. 【課題】現実的な計算時間内で現在の状況に即した最適な送受信装置の配置を決定することができる。【解決手段】水中物体を探索する水中物体捜索支援装置において、探索領域で送受信装置数にてカバレッジ率以上となるように探知して複数の送信装置と複数の受信装置の配置を決定する送受信装置の配置決定装置であって、探知判定のために必要な実環境測定値を測定し、測定した実環境測定値に基づいて配置による残響を考慮したカバレッジを計算し、カバレッジの計算結果に基づいて、最適化手法を用いて複数の送信装置と複数の受信装置の配置を決定する配置計算部を備え、配置計算部は、各送信装置のコストと、複数の送信装置の個数と、各受信装置のコストと、複数の受信装置の個数とを含むコスト関数の値が最小となるように複数の送信装置と複数の受信装置の配置を決定する。【選択図】図3
