Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open circuit detector for diagnosing presence or absence of open circuit of a solar cell by a simple circuit, and to provide an open circuit detection method.SOLUTION: An inspection device includes a diagnostic power supply section for applying a diagnostic voltage to a solar cell circuit, a detector for detecting a current, and a determination section for determining where or not there is an open circuit. The inspection device can detect open circuit of both a power generation circuit on the solar cell side, and a circuit on the bypass diode side, by the same device. The inspection device can diagnose not only a solar cell strings of different characteristics easily by the same device, but also can diagnose an existing solar cell of unknown characteristics, and thereby it is not required to be built in the system when installing a photovoltaic power generation system, and to perform diagnosis continuously. 【課題】 太陽電池の断線の有無を単純な回路により診断する断線検出装置及び断線検出方法を提供する。【解決手段】 検査装置は、太陽電池回路に対して、診断電圧を印加する診断電力供給部と、電流を検出する検出部と、断線があるか否かを判定する判定部とを備える。検査装置は、同一の装置で太陽電池側の発電回路及びバイパスダイオード側の回路の双方の断線を検知することができる。また、検査装置は、同一の装置で特性が異なる太陽電池ストリングを容易に診断できるだけではなく、特性が分からない既設の太陽電池を診断することができ、太陽光発電システムの設置時にシステムに組み込み継続的に診断を行う必要がないという効果を奏する。【選択図】図1
