Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the fraction bit assignment of the audio data value of frequency domain audio data to be encoded.SOLUTION: The assignment method includes a step of determining a masking value for an audio data value, the step including carrying out adaptive low-frequency compensation regarding audio data of respective frequency bands in a set of low-frequency bands of audio data. The adaptive low-frequency compensation includes the steps of: carrying out tonality detection regarding the audio data and generating compensation control data that indicates whether each of the frequency bands in the set of low-frequency bands has a conspicuous tonal content; and carrying out low-frequency compensation regarding the audio data within each of the frequency bands in the set of low-frequency bands having such a conspicuous tonal content as indicated by the compensation control data, but not carrying out the low-frequency compensation regarding the audio data within any other frequency band in the set of low-frequency bands. 【課題】符号化されることになる周波数領域オーディオ・データのオーディオ・データ値の仮数ビット割り当てを決定するための方法。【解決手段】割り当て方法は、オーディオ・データの低周波数帯域の集合の各々の周波数帯域のオーディオ・データに関して適応型低周波数補償を遂行することを含めて、オーディオ・データ値に対するマスキング値を決定するステップを含む。適応型低周波数補償は、オーディオ・データに関してトーナリティ検出を遂行して、低周波数帯域の集合内の各々の周波数帯域が顕著なトーン性コンテンツを有するかどうかを指示している補償制御データを生成するステップと、補償制御データにより指示されるような顕著なトーン性コンテンツを有する低周波数帯域の集合内の各々の周波数帯域内のオーディオ・データに関して低周波数補償を遂行し、ただし、低周波数帯域の集合内のいずれの他の周波数帯域内のオーディオ・データに関しても低周波数補償を遂行しないステップとを含む。【選択図】図2
