Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger that can reduce its size as well as compensate power insufficiency even if power supply from a commercial power supply is insufficient.SOLUTION: When electric power determination means 130 determines that total power necessary for charging a plurality of vehicles 3 that are connected to a charger 1 to be charged is larger than the commercial power that can be supplied from a commercial power supply 2, discharged power from at least one of the vehicles 3 is inputted to power control means 100 by a control of charge/discharge control means 130. Then, the discharged power inputted into the power control means, together with the commercial power converted to a DC power by power conversion means 140 and inputted into the power control means, is outputted to at least one of the other vehicles.
