Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for enhancing mountability of a spark plug on an internal-combustion engine.SOLUTION: A spark plug 100 includes a shaft-shaped center electrode 10, a ground electrode 13 arranged with a predetermined gap for the tip 11 of the center electrode 10, a cylindrical insulator 20 internally housing the center electrode 10, and a main metal fitting 40 for housing the insulator 20. The ground electrode 13 is fixed to the tip side opening 40t of the main metal fitting 40. The main metal fitting 40 has a thread part 42 to be screwed into the mounting hole of an internal-combustion engine on the tip side, and a tool engaging part 45 with which a tool is engaged on the side closer to the rear end than the thread part 42. A metal nut 50 to be screwed over the thread part 42 is attached to the thread part 42 of the main metal fitting 40. 【課題】スパークプラグの内燃機関への取付性を向上させる技術を提供する。【解決手段】スパークプラグ100は、軸状の中心電極10と、中心電極10の先端部11に対して所定の間隙を有して配置される接地電極13と、中心電極10を内部に収容する筒状の絶縁体20と、絶縁体20が収容される主体金具40と、を備える。主体金具40の先端側開口部40tには接地電極13が固定されている。また、主体金具40は、先端側に内燃機関の取付孔に螺合するねじ部42と、ねじ部42より後端側に、工具が係合される工具係合部45を有している。主体金具40のねじ部42には、ねじ部42に螺合するナット金具50が取り付けられている。【選択図】図1
