PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weighing apparatus capable of preventing inappropriate operations performed by customers who are unfamiliar with handling weighing apparatuses and preventing incorrect operations performed by customers who are familiar with handling the weighing apparatuses, even when price-fixed commodities and commodities sold by weight are mixed with each other.SOLUTION: A weighing apparatus 1 used by a customer for weighing an object to be weighed including one container of a group of containers having features different from each other and a commodity comprises: a weighing mechanism 5 for weighing the object to be weighed; an identification unit 31 for identifying a container on the basis of the features different from each other; a price calculation information storing unit 43 for associating price calculation information, such whether a price of a commodity is calculated as a price-fixed commodity or the price of the commodity is calculated as a commodity sold by weight, with each of the containers having the features different from each other and storing the information; and a price calculation unit 33 for calculating the price of the commodity in accordance with the price calculation information associated with the container identified by the identification unit 31. 【課題】定額商品と量り売り商品とが混在する場合であっても、不慣れな客による不適切な操作を防止すると共に、扱いに慣れた客による不正な操作を防止することができる計量装置を提供する。【解決手段】計量装置１は、互いに異なる特徴部を有する容器群の中の一の容器及び商品を含む被計量物の計量を客が行う計量装置であって、被計量物を計量する計量機構５と、互いに異なる特徴部に基づいて容器を識別する識別部３１と、互いに異なる特徴部を有する容器ごとに、定額商品として商品の価格を算出するのか、又は、量り売り商品として商品の価格を算出するのか、という価格算出情報が、関連付けて記憶されている価格算出情報記憶部４３と、識別部によって識別された容器に関連付けられている価格算出情報に従って商品の価格を算出する価格算出部３３と、を備えている。【選択図】図３
