Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of freezing and cracking in a heat exchanger whose surface temperature possibly falls below zero.SOLUTION: A heat exchanger comprises: a plurality of stacked tubes 1 in which refrigerant flows; and fins 2 joined to the tubes 1 and increasing an area of heat exchange implemented between the refrigerant and air flowing around the tubes 1, a sectional shape of each fin 2 perpendicular to an air flow direction being a wavy form including a plurality of flat portions 21 generally in parallel to the air flow direction and vertex portions 22 connecting the adjacent flat portions 21, and a surface temperature of at least either the tubes 1 or the fins 2 possibly falls below zero, slits 27 are provided in the flat portions 21 of the fins 2, and the slits 27 are provided at least in one farthest part 26 or in a plurality of farthest parts 24 to 26 in a cross-section of each fin 2 perpendicular to a tube stacking direction if it is assumed that a region in which a smallest length L from a center line C2 between the adjacent flat portions 21 is a maximum as the farthest part 26. 【課題】表面温度が氷点を下回る可能性がある熱交換器において、凍結割れの発生を抑制する。【解決手段】内部に冷媒が流れる複数本積層されたチューブ1と、チューブ1に接合されてチューブ1周りを流れる空気との熱交換面積を増大させるフィン2とを備え、フィン2における空気流れ方向に垂直な断面形状は、空気流れ方向と略平行な複数の平面部21と、隣り合う平面部21間を繋ぐ頂部22とを有する波形状であり、チューブ1およびフィン2の少なくとも一方の表面温度が氷点以下になる可能性のある熱交換器において、フィン2の平面部21には、スリット27が設けられており、フィン2におけるチューブ積層方向に垂直な断面において、隣り合う平面部21間の中心線C2からの最短距離Lが最大となる部位を最遠部26としたとき、スリット27は、1つの最遠部26、または、複数の最遠部24〜26の少なくとも1つに設けられている。【選択図】図7
