Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving a carbonization yield without damaging productivity and processing properties in a carbon fiber production process.SOLUTION: Provided is an acrylonitrile-based copolymer by being copolymerized with a styrene derivative in which the Q value of Alfrey-Price is higher than 1, in which the copolymerization ratio of acrylonitrile is 85 to 99.5 mol%, and the copolymerization ratio of the styrene derivative is 0.5 to 10 mol%. 【課題】炭素繊維製造工程において生産性およびプロセス性を損なうことなく炭化収率を向上する方法を提供する。【解決手段】Alfrey−PriceのQ値が1より高いスチレン誘導体を共重合させてなるアクリロニトリル系共重合体であって、アクリロニトリルの共重合比が85〜99.5mol%、前記スチレン誘導体の共重合比が0.5〜10mol%であるアクリロニトリル系共重合体。【選択図】なし
