Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor which can increase earthquake resistance by making a newly-constructed body frame less likely to fall compared to an existing body frame at a renewal, prevents impact due to the falling of a portion of a gap by eliminating the gap between the newly-constructed body frame or the existing body frame and a connecting member for connecting the newly-constructed body frame and the existing body frame, and facilitates an adjustment in a height for eliminating the gap.SOLUTION: In a passenger conveyor, an overlap allowance L2 of a newly-constructed receiving beam 6a relative to a building beam 11 is set to be greater than an overlap allowance L1 of an existing receiving beam 2a relative to the building beam 11, and a connecting member 16 which connects a newly-constructed body frame 5 and an existing body frame 1 for preventing the existing body frame 1 from falling when the existing receiving beam 2a is detached from the building beam 11 is provided. When the existing receiving beam 2a is placed on the building beam 11, the connecting member 16 is fixed on one of the existing body frame 1 and the newly-constructed body frame 5 and is brought into contact with the other without a gap through a height adjustment component 17 provided on the connecting member 16. 【課題】リニューアルに際し、既設のものよりも落下しにくくして耐震性を増すことのできるとともに、新設本体枠と既設本体枠とを連結する連結部材との間の隙間をなくして隙間分の落下による衝撃を防止し、かつ、隙間をなくすための高さ調整が容易な乗客コンベアの提供。【解決手段】建屋梁11に対する新設受梁6aの掛かり代L2は、建屋梁11に対する既設受梁2aの掛かり代L1よりも大きく設定されており、新設本体枠5と既設本体枠1とを連結し、既設受梁2aが建屋梁11から外れた場合に既設本体枠1の落下を防止する連結部材16を有し、既設受梁2aが建屋梁11に掛けられた状態において、連結部材16は、既設本体枠1と新設本体枠5とのうちの一方に固定されているとともに、他方には連結部材16に設けられた高さ調整部品17を介して隙間なく当接している。【選択図】 図4
