PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container and a combination of container and container lid, capable of avoiding a situation that, required force for opening a neck part (102) by separating a container lid (2) from the neck part (102) becomes excessive, although before a guide suspending piece (10) formed on a top face wall (4) enters the neck part (102) of the container, an engagement projection (12) formed on an inner peripheral face lower end part of a skirt wall (6) actuates an engaged projection (104) formed on the neck part (102), namely, the guide suspending piece (10) formed on an inner face of the top face wall (4) enters the neck part (102) sufficiently surely.SOLUTION: An engaged projection (104) formed on a neck part (102) is formed into a shape that, the engaged projection has a cylindrical outer peripheral face (106) having relatively long length of an axial direction, and an annular recess part (108) opening outward in a radial direction and continuous in the peripheral direction, is formed on the outer peripheral face (106). 【課題】天面壁（４）に形成されている案内垂下片（１０）が容器の口頸部（１０２）に進入するのに先立って、スカート壁（６）の内周面下端部に形成されている係止突条（１２）が口頸部（１０２）に形成されている被係止突条（１０４）に作用する、従って天面壁（４）の内面に形成されている案内垂下片（１０）が充分確実に口頸部（１０２）内に進入することができるにも拘らず、口頸部（１０２）から容器蓋（２）を離脱せしめて口頸部（１０２）を開封する際の必要力が過大になってしまうことが回避される、容器及び容器と容器蓋の組み合わせを提供する。【解決手段】口頸部（１０２）に形成する被係止突条（１０４）を、軸線方向長さが比較的大きい円筒形外周面（１０６）を有する形態であるが、かかる外周面（１０６）には周方向に連続して延び且つ半径方向外方に開放された環状凹部（１０８）が形成されている形態にせしめる。【選択図】図１
