Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of suppressing influence to a printing part due to noise generated in the placement part side in which an inverter is arranged.SOLUTION: A printer 10 includes: a base 12 in which a medium is placed; a liquid jet unit 20 for printing on the medium placed on the base 12; an AC servo motor 15 which is mounted on the base 12 and is driven when the base 12 and the liquid jet unit 20 are relatively moved; an inverter 42A which is mounted on the base 12 and makes the AC servo motor 15 drive on the basis of a power supplied from an external AC power AC; and a power source part 50 which is mounted on the base 12 and supplies the power supplied from the AC power AC to the liquid jet unit 20 via a power transmission cable 44. The power source part 50 has an AC/DC converter 51 for converting AC power into DC power to output the same to the power transmission cable 44. 【課題】インバーターが設けられた載置部側で発生したノイズによる印刷部への影響を抑制することが可能な印刷装置を提供する。【解決手段】プリンター10は、媒体が載置される基台12と、基台12に載置された媒体に印刷する液体噴射ユニット20と、基台12に搭載され、基台12及び液体噴射ユニット20を相対的に移動させるときに駆動されるACサーボモーター15と、基台12に搭載され、外部の交流電源ACから供給される電力に基づいてACサーボモーター15を駆動させるインバーター42Aと、基台12に搭載され、交流電源ACから供給される電力を液体噴射ユニット20に送電ケーブル44を介して供給する電源部50とを備え、電源部50は、交流電力を直流電力に変換して送電ケーブル44に出力するAC/DCコンバーター51を有している。【選択図】図3
