Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure for a hollow box-shaped housing that can alleviate the dimensional precision of sealing a housing constituting a hollow box-shaped housing, and suppress an effect on the dimension and shape of an internal space of the hollow box-shaped housing, and to provide a method of forming the sealing structure.SOLUTION: A hollow box-shaped housing 3 before sealing is formed by one housing (upper box 1) opened at one surface thereof and another housing (lower box 2) fitted in the opening of the former housing. An internal space 31 before sealing is sealed by a hot melt material 4 under the state that the internal space 31 is formed. Each of the upper box 1 and the lower box 2 has an outer fitting portion 10 and an inner fitting portion 20 which are circumferentially formed in the peripheral direction of the opening edge portion of each box, and have tapered faces 1a, 2a which are brought into contact with each other when the outer and inner fitting portions 10 and 20 are fitted to each other. According to this sealing structure, the sealing is performed by bringing the tapered faces 1a, 2a into contact with each other, so that the dimensional precision for sealing can be alleviated, and the outer fitting portion 10 and the inner fitting portion 20 can be more surely brought into contact with each other, thereby preventing infiltration of the hot melt material 4 into the internal space 31. 【課題】本発明は、中空箱状筐体を構成する筐体の封止のための寸法精度を緩和でき、かつ、中空箱状筐体の内部空間の寸法や形状への影響を抑制できる中空箱状筐体の封止構造および該封止構造の形成方法を提供する。【解決手段】一面が開口した一つの筐体(上箱1)と、この開口に嵌合されたもう一つの筐体(下箱2)とから、封止前の中空箱状筐体3が形成され、封止前の内部空間31が形成された状態でホットメルト材4によって封止される。上箱1と下箱2の各々は、各々の開口縁部の周方向に周状に形成された外側嵌合部10と内側嵌合部20とを有し、それぞれ嵌合時に互いに接触するテーパ面1a,2aを有する。この封止構造によれば、テーパ面1a,2aを接触させて封止するので、封止のための寸法精度を緩和でき、外側嵌合部10と内側嵌合部20とをより確実に接触させて内部空間31へのホットメルト材4の侵入を防止できる。【選択図】図1
