PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that includes a moving member moving between a contact position to be in contact with the inner peripheral surface of an endless member and a separation position to be separated from the inner peripheral surface of the endless member, and can suppress unevenness in temperature occurring to the moving member moved to the separation position, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: The amount of movement at an upper end of a contact member 152 is the same as the amount of movement at a lower end (the other end) of the contact member 152. Thus, the distance between an upper side of the contact member 152 moved to a separation position and an excitation coil 110 is the same as the distance between a lower side of the contact member 152 and the excitation coil 110. With above conditions, the temperature at the upper side of the contact member 152 is the same as the temperature at the lower side of the contact member 152. 【課題】無端部材の内周面と離間する離間位置と無端部材の内周面と接触する接触位置とに移動する移動部材において、離間位置に移動した移動部材に生じる温度ムラを抑制することができる定着装置、及び画像形成装置を得ることである。【解決手段】接触部材１５２の上端の移動量と、接触部材１５２の下端（他端）の移動量と、が同様の移動量となる。このため、離間位置に移動した接触部材１５２の上側と励磁コイル１１０との距離と、接触部材１５２の下側と励磁コイル１１０との距離とが、同様の距離となる。これにより、接触部材１５２の上側の温度と、接触部材１５２の下側の温度とが、同様の温度となる。【選択図】図１
