PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder for a printing ink that has good re-solubility in a solvent even if toluene is not used as a solvent, has good solubility in an alcohol solvent even if polyethyleneimine is used as a raw material, and imparts excellent adhesiveness to a variety of plastic films.SOLUTION: The binder for a printing ink comprises (U) a polyurethane resin produced by reacting (P) an urethane prepolymer having an isocyanate group produced by reacting (A) an active hydrogen component and (B) an organic polyisocyanate component with (C) an alkylene oxide adduct of polyethyleneimine. The isocyanate group content in the urethane prepolymer having an isocyanate group (P) is 0.05-1.0 wt% and the total value of a primary amine value and a secondary amine value of the alkylene oxide adduct of polyethyleneimine (C) is 50-230 mgKOH/g. 【課題】 溶剤としてトルエンを使用しなくても溶剤への再溶解性が良好であり、原料としてポリエチレンイミンを使用してもアルコール系溶剤への溶解性が良好であり、各種プラスチックフィルムに対して優れた接着性を与える印刷インキ用バインダーを提供する。【解決手段】 活性水素成分（Ａ）及び有機ポリイソシアネート成分（Ｂ）を反応させて得られるイソシアネート基を有するウレタンプレポリマー（Ｐ）と、ポリエチレンイミンのアルキレンオキサイド付加物（Ｃ）とを反応させて得られるポリウレタン樹脂（Ｕ）からなる印刷インキ用バインダーであって、前記イソシアネート基を有するウレタンプレポリマー（Ｐ）のイソシアネート基含有量が０．０５〜１．０重量％であり、前記ポリエチレンイミンのアルキレンオキサイド付加物（Ｃ）の１級アミン価及び２級アミン価の合計値が５０〜２３０ｍｇＫＯＨ／ｇである印刷インキ用バインダー。【選択図】なし
