Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording material that has good ink adsorption when printed with an aqueous ink, suppresses curl generation after single-sided printing, and has excellent printer transportability.SOLUTION: An ink jet recording material includes at least two ink-receiving layers on both surfaces of a non-absorptive support. An ink-receiving layer (A) closer to the support contains silica fine particles and PVA having a saponification degree of less than 90%, and an ink-receiving layer (B) farthest from the support contains silica fine particles, PVA having a saponification degree of less than 90%, and silanol modified PVA. The content of the silanol modified PVA in the ink-receiving layer (B) and the content of the silica fine particles in the ink-receiving layer (B) are in a specific range, respectively. 【課題】水性インクで印字したときのインク吸収性が良好で、片面印字後のカールの発生が抑制され、かつプリンター搬送性に優れたインクジェット記録材料を提供する。【解決手段】非吸収性支持体の両面に少なくとも2層のインク受容層をそれぞれ有し、支持体に近いインク受容層(A)がシリカ微粒子、およびケン化度が90%未満のPVAを含有し、支持体から最も離れたインク受容層(B)がシリカ微粒子、ケン化度が90%未満のPVA、およびシラノール変性PVAを含有し、前記インク受容層(B)におけるシラノール変性PVAと、インク受容層(B)のシリカ微粒子の含有量がそれぞれ特定の範囲内にあるインクジェット記録材料。【選択図】なし
