PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill identification device capable of making a common drive source drive to correct a tilt in a conveyance direction of a bill and to adjust the center of the bill to the center of a conveyance passage to convey the bill.SOLUTION: A bill identification device includes a bill conveying part 3 that is provided with a bill position guiding mechanism 30 for guiding a bill S to be conveyed to the central direction of the bill conveying part 3. The bill position guiding mechanism 30 is provided with a pair of rollers 33 to which a plurality of wings 34b, 35b are arranged, relatively to the center of the bill conveying part 3 and obliquely to the inside of the rotation direction of the bill conveying part 3, and, when the pair of rollers 33 with the wings are rotated, guides the bill S to the central direction of the bill conveying part 3 to convey the bill. 【課題】紙幣の搬送方向の傾きを補正するとともに搬送通路の中心に紙幣の中心を合わせて搬送することを共通の駆動源で駆動することが可能な紙幣識別装置を提供する。【解決手段】紙幣搬送部３には搬送する紙幣Ｓを紙幣搬送部３の中心方向に案内する紙幣位置案内機構３０が設けられ、紙幣位置案内機構３０には、紙幣搬送部３の中心に相対してその回転方向の内側に対して斜めに複数の羽根３４ｂ、３５ｂを配設した一対の羽根付きローラ３３を設け、一対の羽根付きローラ３３を回転させると、紙幣Ｓを紙幣搬送部３の中心方向へと案内して搬送する。【選択図】図３
