PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily comprehend a corrosion state of a portion of a steel plate-made digestion tank body, which portion is contacted with a gas phase part, even when the steel plate-made digestion tank is in operation.SOLUTION: A steel plate-made digestion tank 100 includes: the steel plate-made digestion tank body 1 on the inside of which a liquid phase part 11, in which thrown sludge is fermented, and a gas phase part 12, in which digested gas to be generated by fermenting the sludge is stored, are formed; and a test piece housing unit 4 in which a test piece S having the same composition as that of the portion of the steel plate-made digestion tank body 1, which portion is contacted with the gas phase part 12, is housed.
