Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery which is superior in life characteristic and enables the suppression of a self discharge.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte battery 100 comprises: a positive electrode 6; a negative electrode 7; a separator 8 interposed between the positive electrode 6 and the negative electrode 7; and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The negative electrode 6 includes a negative electrode active material of which the Li occlusion potential is equal to or higher than 1 V vs. Li/Li, and the electric resistance in a state of being discharged is within a range of 100-100000 cm. The separator 8 has pores, of which the pore diameter is 1 μm or larger, and the pore volume proportion is larger than 70%. 【課題】寿命特性に優れ且つ自己放電を抑えることができる非水電解質電池を提供する。【解決手段】非水電解質電池100は、正極6と、負極7と、正極6及び負極7の間に介するセパレータ8と、非水電解質とを具備し、負極6は、Li吸蔵電位が1V vs. Li/Li+以上である負極活物質を含み、且つ放電状態における電気抵抗が100 ・cm〜100000 ・cmの範囲内にあり。セパレータ8は、細孔直径が1μm以上である細孔の細孔体積比率が70%より大くする。【選択図】図5
